We depend on donations, membership fees and the money we raise at events to fund improvements and renovations to the church. The money we raise is entirely separate from the normal running costs of the church, we use our funds solely to protect, preserve and enhance the historic building.
Become a Friend
Our beautiful church has so much to offer. Whether you attend a wedding ora christening, come along for coffee and a chat on a Saturday morning, join an event, take a look inside during a visit to our village or simply admire the building as you walk by with your dog, you can help us to maintain the building by becoming a member of The Friends of St Mary’s. Your annual subscription will go towards our vital work to preserving and enhancing the church building, part of Lenham’s wonderful heritage.
Individual membership is £15 per year or £25 for a family. As a member, we’ll keep you up to date on our work and you’ll have the opportunity to attend our Annual General Meeting and have your say about our work. Volunteer
We have a great team of trustees and committee members, but we’re always looking for more people to help us run our events, especially the annual barn dance. Please get in touch with via our Contact Us page if you would like to volunteer with us.
